EverSafe, a wholly owned subsidiary of Information Systems of Maryland (ISM) is seeking a a dynamic, results-driven Sales Representative to join our team and help expand our customer base in the electronic security systems market. This role will focus on selling a range of electronic security products and services, including alarm systems, video surveillance, and monitoring services, to residential, commercial, and government customers. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong understanding of security technology, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in sales.
You will develop strong relationships with customer leaders, navigate procurement environments, and help deliver scalable solutions that enhance safety, operational efficiency, and community outcomes.

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:
This position reports to the President and dotted line reporting to the Chairman, but will interface with executive staff, all internal and remote employees, including current and/or prospective customer(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Lead Generation
- Actively prospect and generate new leads through various methods including cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
- Identify potential customers, understand their security needs, and recommend suitable solutions (alarm systems, video surveillance, access control, monitoring services, etc.).
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with potential customers to present product offerings and demonstrate how our security systems can meet their specific needs.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers and manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals.
Product Knowledge & Consultation
- Stay up-to-date on the latest electronic security products and trends, including alarm systems, video surveillance, access control, and integrated security solutions.
- Provide expert consultation to customers, advising them on the best security systems for their needs, budget, and property size.
- Create customized security proposals and solutions tailored to each customer’s requirements.
Relationship Building & Customer Retention
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with customers, providing ongoing support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Follow up with existing customers for system upgrades, service renewals, or new product offerings.
- Address customer concerns and resolve any issues related to products, installations, or services, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Quotation & Contract Management
- Prepare and present detailed quotes for security systems, installation, and monitoring services.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with customers while maintaining profitability and aligning with company policies.
- Manage sales contracts, ensuring they are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Reporting & Sales Targets
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the Sales Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and closed deals in the CRM system.
- Provide regular reports on sales progress, market trends, and competitive intelligence to management.
Marketing & Product Promotion
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure promotional materials are aligned with sales strategies and to support lead generation efforts.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and local networking events to build brand awareness and drive sales.
Post-Sale Follow-up & Support
- Coordinate with the installation and service teams to ensure smooth and timely deployment of security systems.
- Conduct post-sale check-ins to ensure customer satisfaction and assist with any troubleshooting or training needs.
- Encourage customers to utilize monitoring services and any other complementary offerings, driving customer retention.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Experience:
2+ years of sales experience, ideally in the electronic security, technology, or home automation industries. Experience selling alarm systems, surveillance equipment, or related products is a plus.
Skills
- Strong understanding of security technologies, including alarm systems, video surveillance, and access control solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to understand customer needs and present tailored security solutions.
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools.
